Aidvisor for Dairy

Know your season before the payout tells you

Payout forecasts move, feed costs move, and the interest bill does not wait. Aidvisor keeps a live view of your dairy business so you can see the consequence of a change the week it happens — not at next year’s annual review.

The questions that matter

The questions that decide a dairy season

These are the questions Dairy farmers and sharemilkers ask constantly — and that usually take days of spreadsheet work to answer. Aidvisor answers them from your own records, with the sources attached.

  • If the payout lands at $8.10 instead of $9.00, what happens to our cash position?
  • What is our true cost of production per kg MS, and where did it move?
  • Is buying in supplement cheaper than carrying fewer cows through winter?
  • Can we fund the effluent upgrade this season without extending the overdraft?
  • Which month is our tightest for cash, and what would ease it?
  • How does our farm working expenses ratio compare across the last three seasons?
Should we buy 150 t of PKE now or cull 40 cows early?
Buying 150 t at the current quoted price costs $63,000 and holds production at forecast. Culling 40 cows early returns $41,600 now but gives up an estimated 9,800 kg MS, worth $85,300 at the current payout forecast. On these numbers, buying feed is the stronger option by roughly $63,900 — provided the payout holds above $8.05. Feed_Quotes_Mar.pdf Herd_Reconciliation.xlsx Cashflow_Budget.xlsx

What you get

Built around dairy realities

Milk solids, feed conversion and payout exposure are modelled as one connected system, because on farm that is exactly what they are.

Payout scenario modelling

Run the season against a range of payout forecasts and see cash, surplus and debt-servicing consequences side by side.

Herd & production economics

Reconciliations, production curves and per-cow performance held together with the financial outcome they produce.

Cost of production tracking

Cost per kg MS broken down by driver, with movement explained against prior seasons rather than just reported.

Feed budget analysis

Supplement decisions costed against pasture cover, production impact and the cash timing of the purchase.

Compliance documents

Effluent consents, nutrient budgets and freshwater plans indexed and searchable alongside the financials.

Cash timing

See the tightest month before you reach it, and test which deferrals actually relieve the pressure.

Questions

Dairy FAQ

Does Aidvisor work for sharemilkers as well as farm owners?

Yes. Sharemilking arrangements are modelled as their own project with their own cost structure and revenue share, so the numbers reflect your actual position rather than the whole farm’s.

Can it handle multiple dairy platforms or entities?

Yes. Each farm, entity or support block can be its own project, and you can ask questions across them or drill into one. Access can be granted per project, which matters when different parties are involved in different blocks.

Do I need my accounts in a particular format?

No. Aidvisor reads standard PDF annual accounts and spreadsheet GL exports. If your accountant can email it to you, Aidvisor can generally work with it.

Does it connect to my milk company or accounting software?

Live connectors are on the roadmap. Today you upload statements and exports directly, which means you can be up and running without waiting on an integration.
